Lower Mainland Humane Society

LMHS-DMRS

WE'VE GOT SOME BIG NEWS!

As many of our supporters already know, Dhana Metta Rescue Society (Dhana Metta) has enjoyed a very successful 10 years in the animal welfare community. Because we have grown so much in the past few years, we have come to the realization that our current model is not sustainable.

With that said, we would like to introduce the Lower Mainland Humane Society! In order to continue to provide the best service we can to pets and their humans, Dhana Metta will slowly be transitioned over to this new organization. The Lower Mainland Humane Society is headed by Yuana Hexamer, the founder and President of Dhana Metta, but is supported by a new Board of Directors. Operations of Dhana Metta will not be interrupted, and all animals in our care will still receive the same level of support and comfort as before.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO DHANA METTA SUPPORTERS?

Essentially, Dhana Metta Rescue Society is getting a new name. Fosters, adopters, volunteers, etc. will continue to be supported just as before, but communications will start to come under the label of the Lower Mainland Humane Society instead of Dhana Metta. We have plans in the works for a new shelter and will be starting a capital fundraising campaign in order to make this happen. The biggest and best part of this transition, is that we can now offer our donors TAX RECEIPTS!

Donations can be made online with credit card, PayPal, or VISA Debit at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/lower-mainland-humane-society/

Cheques can be mailed to Box 74019 Fraser Heights PO, Surrey, BC, V4N 5H9.

If you have any questions, please send us a message! We appreciate the support of each and every one of you, and we look forward to growing all of our relationships as the Lower Mainland Humane Society.
